“A ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”” Luk 18:18 (NASB)
Following Christ is not about doing or being enough. Many believers ask the questions how “Christian or Christ-like enough” do we have to be to enter heaven, how much giving is enough, how much time for church activities is enough.
If you come with that kind of motivation to be a “Christian”, the only response you might get is to be all, give it all and follow Christ with all you are and have.
“When Jesus heard this, He said to him, “One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”” Luk 18:22 (NASB)
Following Christ is an all or nothing kind of thing.
